Things were a little busy.

In December my family and I were sick with a terrible virus.
It lasted about 1 month. (Fever, chills, vomiting, body aches, coughing, and congestion).
Not fun. However, we are well and healthy now and thankful!

We enjoyed time with family and friends. What a blessing family is, not to be taken for granted. May we each count every one of our blessings. Especially after the devastation of the Tsunami in Asia. Though we missed some of the fun because we were there physically, but not physically healthy.

January has been amazing. Our little one has grown so much. She is jabbering all the time.
Running everywhere and so interested in everything. The things we take for granted are like treasures to her.

This past Wednesday we went for a walk outside. She loved it! The temperature was 60 degrees and the snow was melting. She found wood chips in a landscaped area and was immersed with it. She protested when we had to leave.

She would bring me one wood chip and then go back for another. She was so aware of how each wood chip looked a little different. All I saw was dirty chips with outside debri on them. The 15 month old saw so much more. How fun to be able to see the world with new curiousity and purity. Wouldn't it be neat if we took the time to stop and smell the wood chips?

My Stephen Ministry class is going well. Last class we learned about death and dying. Kuebler-Ross' 5 stages of grief. But more importantly the feelings and thoughts someone who is dying may go through. Each person is so unique and special. We each see the world so differently with perspectives and beliefs based on our background, our family story, and our individual personality. This amazes me and confirms my belief in Almighty God being our one and only Creator. He is the only one True God. For He created us in His image. He knit us together in our mother's womb. He knew us before we were born. To those who hear His voice calling He says, "You are mine. Be still and know I am your God."

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Only a few days before Thanksgiving 2004.

There are definitely struggles and challenges in my life.

There is this song and it goes like this ,"When I am feeling awfully low I count my blessings instead of sheep.
